Western Connecticut

Stone walls. Antique farmhouses and cottages lined by sentinel, towering sugar maple trees. Narrow roads that weave between home and barn, emerging at a nearby pond. Western Connecticut is beautiful and surprising, in any season. And it’s perfect for the electric bike.

Hudson Valley

Supremely beautiful. A bike ride in the valley might take you to a calm lake, a secluded forest, a historic town, a gentleman farm. The Hudson Valley — besides being an important agricultural region —  is one of the most magical places in the United States.

Further Afield: Stokes State Forest and Tillman Ravine

The off-season is the perfect time for this electric bike adventure in Stokes State Forest. In winter, the gated roads are off-limits to cars, but not to your electric bike. This is when the sense of isolation is deepest, and the hillsides, thick with hemlocks, provide a welcome contrast to the blahs of winter.
